BioLab, as part of Chemtura, is committed to Responsible Care® the chemical industry’s voluntary initiative to protect the environment, ensure the safety and security of its operations, and safeguard the health and safety of employees and the communities in which we live and work. Under Responsible Care, we pledge to be stewards of our products from manufacturing and handling to transport and disposal.

Responsible Care® – first conceived in Canada and launched in 1985 – has been commended for being a significant contribution by the chemical industry to sustainable development by the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) at the World Summit on Sustainable Development held in Johannesburg in August 2002. It has also resulted in significant reductions in releases to air, land and water; major improvements in workplace and community safety; and expanded programs to research and test chemicals for potential health and environmental impacts.

BioLab considers ensuring the safety and health of the public, our employees, contractors and customers and the protection of the environment now and for future generations to be central to our core values. We are committed to meeting all applicable laws, regulations, permits and internal standards throughout the world with a goal of zero accidents and incidents and zero harm to the environment.
